Jesus Christ gave us a fantastic example of what it meant to serve:
…”whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
(Mark 10:43b-45)
As Christians, therefore, we believe that we need to simply follow Jesus’ model for servanthood. If you stick around FCC long enough you will hear us say things like:
“We give 100 percent. We serve God not men. We do whatever it takes. We are stewards. We allocate resources as God asks us to. We reflect God’s sacrificial generosity.”
